The End of the Week

Mmm...that's about all I can say about my art life this week. It's the end of the week. I seem to have underestimated the fact that I would need to move my oldest back to school tomorrow. And I had way too many appointments this week.

Whatever bits of time I did have, I worked on a memory quilt for a friend who lost her husband a few years ago. I don't feel I can share that with you though as it's hers and only hers. My precious friend that it is for is a private person- her grief is private-so no sharing this time. I finished piecing it this week and will try to wrap it up this weekend. Made me sad...

I also sat down and wrote out some goals for myself. I seem to do better with a list. One of them was updating the blog but in my attempt to do that, I have really screwed it up. So just bear with me until I can figure it out. Did Blogger change their templates....? I want my old one back....and can't find it.

     Happy Summer my friends!

  1. Blogger always seems to be doing something different. I try to ignore it and just keep pushing buttons until I get what I want (or close to it). I don't want to spend the time to figure it out.

I feel the same way about the end of the week. Its over and that's all I can say. Few accomplishments. Next week, there's no summer camp for my daughter and she will be home with me all week. I forgot all about that. I can hopefully look forward to accomplishments the week after next.

Sounds like such a wonderful and difficult job working on that quilt.

  2. The week after next is probably more realistic for me too. At least, you have been creating marvelous pieces this summer Kim!

You are right though- wonderful and difficult -working on a memory quilt.

  3. I don't like updates. It almost always changes the format and where regularly used functions are located. Since I don't assimilate information well by reading, it really messes with my head.
And you are a good friend to make the memory quilt. I'm sure your friend will be pleased and comforted.
